J. Nathan Childers
, Co-Founder and President

Mr. Childers is the President and a founding member of The Childers Group LLC.  He brings a wealth of consulting experience ranging from financial services work including "Big Four" audit and assurance services with PwC as well as merger and acquisition structuring and due diligence support, to IT-related program management.  Mr. Childers has extensive federal and commercial client experience across various industry sectors, both in the US as well as abroad.  Mr. Childers is a Certified Public Accountant with experience in various accounting disciplines including policy, reporting, and compliance.  Additionally, Mr. Childers spent eight years as a United States Army Infantry Officer serving in various roles both stateside and overseas. 


William (Bill) Greenwell, Managing Director

Mr. Greenwell heads up the DC Metro operations for the company and brings over 20 years of accounting and finance experience to The Childers Group.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and has significant expertise in operational financial management, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, both public and private debt offerings, large scale accounting system implementations, and complex accounting issues.  In addition to his consulting experience, Mr. Greenwell has also spent numerous years in industry positions managing all aspects of the CFO organization for several Fortune 500 companies, and is a US GAAP subject matter expert in the fields of financial reporting and compliance.

Susan Kidd, President, DRT Strategies, Inc.

Ms. Kidd is the founder and President of DRT Strategies, Inc., an SBA certified 8(a), SDB, WOSB management consulting firm and leading provider of information technology, project management, and financial management services.  She brings 20+ years of award-winning project management and IT strategy consulting experience to the advisory board with experience at prestigious firms such as KPMG, Booz Allen Hamilton, AMS (now CGI Federal), and SAIC.  Under Ms. Kidd's direction, DRT has become a leading service provider to such Agencies as the USDA, FDA, SBA, EPA, DOJ, and the US Navy to name a few.


Chris Kyriakakis, CPA, CISA, CIA, Partner, Frazier & Deeter, LLC

Mr. Kyriakakis leads his firm's Information Technology Assurance and Governance Services Group, providing SAS 70 assurance services along with a wide array of consultative services.  He has over 15 years of client service experience and is a subject matter expert in Sarbanes Oxley compliance and IT assurance-related programs.  Mr. Kyriakakis is a former IS Inspector at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), where he was responsible for writing much of the organizations' Internal Controls guidance.  He also has significant "Big Four" consulting experience with Deloitte. 


Mandy Ernst, Senior IT Project Manager, Duke Energy

Ms. Ernst is a veteran IT professional within Duke Energy's corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.  She is heavily involved in various initiatives at Duke, including their current strategic redesign of the IT Organization.  Ms. Ernst has led project teams of dozens of business and technical assets, both on- and offshore, for initiatives to implement an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution as well as integration efforts to develop a centralized data hub integration architecture. She was a key part of the strategic integration efforts with the Cinergy merger, including system retirements and consolidations. 


Lauren Childers, CPA, Director of Finance, Air Serv Corporation

Ms. Childers leads the company's financial planning and analysis efforts as well as their acquisition strategy and due diligence efforts.  In addition to forecasting and budgeting expertise, Ms. Childers has significant controllership office experience and is a leader in the industry in financial reporting issues and complex accounting policy.  Prior to joining Air Serv, she worked at the private equity firm, The Carlyle Group in Washington, DC.  Ms. Childers also has significant "Big Four" consulting experience serving as an M&A consultant and assurance services provider with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
